donate2Give to the Old Burians Charitable Trust to help current students develop their careers

The Trust exists to provide help in the form of part-funding for personal development projects (both educational and charitable) pursued by individual students. With the abolition of middle schools, students at King Edward’s join in year 7. The current school now has no sixth form, with the majority of year 11 students going on to Abbeygate Sixth Form College or West Suffolk College, both located in the same area as the school. The Old Burians’ Charitable Trust offers financial grants to all students of King Edward VI School either currently at the school or in further education, up to the age of 25.

You can read more about it on this page, along with some personal stories of students who have benefited from an award in the recent past, and also download a Standing Order or one-off Donation form.

Make a one-off donation

Gift Aid

If you are a taxpayer, any contributions/donations you make to The Old Burians Charitable Trust can be worth an additional 25% if you will complete a Gift Aid Declaration. You can download a Gift Aid Declaration Form here.

The Old Burians Charitable Trust will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 you give.

Notes:

You must pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that the charity will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. If you pay Income Tax at the higher rate, you must include details of all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return if you want to receive the additional tax relief due to you.
Please notify the charity if you:

  1. Want to cancel this declaration;
  2. Change your name or home address;
  3. No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
