‘For those amongst us who knew him, Neil Hartington sadly passed away at the end of November 2025. Neil had been suffering from a terminal respiratory disorder for some time, but, whenever I spoke to him, he was always in good humour, especially as he knew that his time was limited. Neil was in the year below me at school, but our association continued long after that as we both played cricket for Ampton and Culford Cricket Club. Neil moved to Woodford Green where he had his own Orthodontic practice. We at the club jokingly called it Drill, Fill and Bill. He will be bowling his leg breaks and googlies up there now. "Spin bowler by trade" was often his call.
RIP Neil. Our thoughts andprayers go out to your family and friends.’
