Robert “Dickie” Howe – 22nd September 2019, aged 70

“His funeral service was held at the parish church of St Peter and St Paul, Lavenham on 11th October 2019 and the church was full to bursting point. A very popular man and an old friend of mine when at school. I have happy memories of my times at Lavenham with him.
A few words were spoken about him and that included the fact that his father died when he was 14 and although he attended KEGS and was a successful student, back in those days there needed to be a man about the house and that was him. He also had a younger brother, so he was basically forced to find work quickly and not pursue an academic career. He worked for a few builders in the Lavenham area before starting up his own building and renovation business and was always based in Lavenham, his home village.”
